Commissioned by the Heybroek family, the Folke Heybroek Archive is a comprehensive digital resource preserving the life and work of the Dutch-Swedish artist, designer and craftsman.
The brief was to build a comprehensive, well-structured archive that would be equally useful to researchers, collectors and the general public. The completed website contains over 1,000 images organised across almost 100 galleries, together with a detailed biography, exhibition history and fully categorised catalogue of works covering painting, stained glass, sculpture, metalwork and textile design.
The archive represents more than a year of collaborative work. The Heybroek family devoted countless hours to researching, identifying and documenting artworks, locating exhibition records and assembling material from a wide range of sources. Our role was to organise this extensive body of content into a clear, accessible digital archive through photography, image processing, website design and careful information architecture.
The result is a substantial online resource that preserves and makes accessible the work of one of the most prolific and distinctive artists working in post-war Scandinavia.
